About Not on My Campus - Texas Tech
Not on My Campus is a a student-led organization aiming to educate and inform people about consent and end sexual assault on college campuses. In a culture where sexual assault is so common, especially at the collegiate level, it’s important for people to know what is acceptable and what they can do to STOP rape culture. A sad fact is that 9 out of 10 sexual assault victims on college campuses will know their offender. We want to change these statistics and make people more aware so that sexual assault can become a thing of the past. It seems like a big goal, but change starts with just a few people.
It is our goal as a chapter of Not on My Campus to increase awareness of this major issue and hopefully work towards eradicating sexual assault entirely on college campuses. As Red Raiders, it is our responsibility to create a culture where sexual assault is not acceptable. It is our responsibility to listen without judgment when we hear that someone has been sexually assaulted, and lead them to the resources that will help them. Most importantly, it is our responsibility to create a safe environment for college students. We encourage every Red Raider to take the pledge and take a stand against rape culture. Join us in making Texas Tech University a place where all students can feel safe. Wreck 'em! |
